Stephanie Emelander, LLMSW
Stephanie Emelander brings warmth, compassion, and a deep understanding of what it means to walk through some of life’s most difficult seasons. Before becoming a therapist, Stephanie spent several years working as a hospice social worker, supporting individuals and families through illness, caregiving, grief, loss, and major life transitions. That experience shaped the way she approaches therapy today…with patience, empathy, and a genuine respect for each person’s unique story. Stephanie understands that loss comes in many forms and that you do not have to be grieving a death to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what comes next. She works with adults experiencing grief and loss, caregiver stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship changes, and other significant life transitions. Her goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where clients can be honest about what they are carrying, even when they are not sure how to put it into words. Stephanie helps clients make sense of difficult emotions, recognize their own strengths, develop healthier ways of coping, and begin moving toward a life that feels more manageable and meaningful. She believes therapy does not have to be about “fixing” everything at once. It can simply be a place where you no longer have to carry everything by yourself.
