Alisha Swanson, LMFT

Alisha Swanson understands that the challenges we face rarely happen in isolation. Stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, family concerns, and major life changes can affect not only how we feel about ourselves, but also how we connect with the people who matter most to us. With more than 16 years of experience in the mental health field, Alisha brings a wealth of clinical knowledge along with a warm, down-to-earth approach that helps clients feel comfortable talking about even the difficult parts of life.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Alisha is skilled in working with both individuals and couples and families. She understands that sometimes therapy is about helping one person feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in their own life, while other times the work involves helping partners or family members understand one another differently, communicate more effectively, and begin changing patterns that have created distance, frustration, or hurt. Alisha looks beyond just the immediate problem and helps clients understand how their experiences, relationships, emotions, and patterns may all be connected.

Throughout her career, Alisha has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in a variety of mental health settings, giving her experience with a wide range of concerns and life circumstances. She has supported people dealing with mental health challenges, relationship and family difficulties, substance use concerns, stressful life transitions, and complex situations that can leave individuals and families unsure of what to do next. Her extensive clinical experience allows her to meet clients where they are while adapting therapy to what each person, couple, or family actually needs.

Alisha believes you do not have to wait until things feel unbearable to ask for help. You also do not need to walk into therapy knowing exactly what needs to change. Her goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where clients can be honest about what is working, what is not, and what they hope could be different. Whether you are looking for support for yourself, trying to strengthen your relationship, or navigating challenges within your family, Alisha works alongside you to help create greater understanding, healthier communication, and meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy room.
